Barclays vs Citi Dubai IBD off cycle

Citi is much better than Barclays outside US and London (where Citi still has the edge albeit less so).
Citi is much stronger than Barclays in the Middle East
Citi Dubai is infamous, would not touch with a barge pole
Why are they infamous? Never heard anything particular about them but know clients have dropped them for poor performance
There is an Arabian business and I believe FT article about toxic work culture which effectively accuses Citi of being a sweatshop and its seniors of overworking staff. To be fair it sounded no worse than EBs 3 or 4 years ago.
