Baruch College

I'm a rising junior in high school and I'm putting together my college list. How does Baruch place in IB? I understand that location would be a benefit, but is it a moderately respected school? It would be a safety school on my school list. What are some other schools that are easier to get into that place decent in IB?

Nah it’s a decent school for banking front office, ofc not a target school like stern but I’ve seen multiple baruch alumni, including me, in coverage and product groups working at Bulge bracket banks. Just need to network a lot, have a very stellar resume and be super pristine when it comes to interviewing when you get that super day chance. With baruch you’re also going to have little to no debt when you graduate which is just fantastic when you’re sitting with folks in your analyst class that have hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt bc they went to the likes of Columbia/Stern. But those schools come with their props and much superior networks of course

This is a little of topic but assuming cost isn’t an issue, I’d chose Fordham over Baruch. They kind of give similar vibes if you do decide to stay in Fordham’s Manhattan campus versus Bronx campus. Fordham is generally better known and to my understanding has a better alumni network. Also, if you want a more college campus type feel you can stay at their Bronx Campus. At the end of the day though both are non-targets.
