BB Associate Lateral to MBB

I am currently in BB (think GS, MS, JPM) with 3 years experience. I recently received an offer to join an MBB.

Is there anyone who has made a similar move? What was the experience like? Any regrets doing so?

I don't particularly dislike banking, but I am just find I am no longer learning much. Would love to hear from people who have made a similar move

How hard is it to return to IB if I decide that Consulting isn't for me?

Not quite six months. It ranges from 2-4 months full-time salary depending on your level

MBB would maybe hire them as an associate or senior analyst (or the equivalent titles at BB). While IB analyst vs MBB analyst has a decent bit of crossover on skill set, that diverges pretty quickly. Can't see any scenario where an IB As/VP would be able to come in as a EM/PL. IB VP's simply wouldn't be able to cut it from a project/team management perspective (and the same thing in reverse for IB skills, of course)

MBB Associate starts at roughly ~235k or so all-in at the moment, so not far off the lowest paying BB’s this year, and maybe 70% in a good/normal year, for about 70% of the hours

What would you say are the key skill set difference at VP in IB vs Engagement Leader in Consulting? Just trying to understand what skills you are expected to learn. For instance in IB juniors it is mostly valuation, modelling and PPT

They offered me a Consultant position (i.e. 2 years away from being EL if I perform)
