BB ER or Big 4 M&A (Corporate Finance)

Hey all,

I'm currently in my penultimate year and have been offered:

1. Equity research cadetship (6 months in Utilities and also in Natural Resources at a BB - not sure if analyst are II listed, but the shop is no.1 in many coverage in my region)

2. M&A Lead Advisory at a Big 4 (Summer Internship only ~3months).

With the long-term goal is to go into Investment Banking, I was wondering which would be best for my goals.

I understand both has their pro's and con's and would appreciate any comments or general thoughts!

Likewise, if any other students have any questions on how I got these internships, feel free to comment! This forum has helped me so much in preparation and I'm keen to give back :).

Thanks!

I'm not sure which is better for IB, but BB ER is a good gig in its own right, especially if you want to work in the hedge fund industry or have a career in equity markets.

Would assume BB ER is better because relevant skillset and brand name.
