saw some older threads on this, but can anyone comment on how feasible it is to transition from Investment Banking to Equity Research at a large BB nowadays? ER feels like it's been shrinking over the years, but I am also interested in public markets and want to know if anyone does this or if they just try to go directly to buyside analyst positions from banking
