BB SA vs FOF FT

Hi everyone, So I just completed an internship at an FoF and got a return but was also lucky enough to get a summer internship offer at a BB (Not GS/MS/JP) for the upcoming summer where conversion rates in my ideal group were above 80% last year. Which one is better for a career start? With the caveat that I don’t know if I’ll convert the summer and also that I’d essentially ‘waste’ a year since I’ll start FT one year later even if I did convert

Hi! I was in the exact same situation a few years ago -- did BB IB Soph SA, then was recruited to a FoF to focus mostly on private markets the next summer, and now I'm at the 6 month mark of my first post-grad role at an investment consultant with heavy VC/PE exposure.

I'd have to say that it depends on your goals long-term and what you value from a work-life perspective, which will inevitably change as you go through the job. Personally, I am so glad that I chose the FoF > IB, even though it's still a grind regardless. PM me so that I can help you out with this more.
