BB: Switching from NYC to non-NYC location

Hi everyone, I'm a first year in a top group (think GS TMT/MS M&A) and I'm looking to switch to another city to be closer to my family. The only group based in the non-NYC city is different than the group I'm currently in. Does anyone have any advice on how to best broker a switch in the most non-controversial way possible? How do I approach talking to the other group/my staffer/other people in the non-NYC group who may want to switch? Any advice would be appreciated.
