Does anyone have any insight on re-interviewing for an elite group (GS TMT/CVP/EVR HC)? For context, I got to the final round of the interview and ended up not getting the offer. I think the team and I got along relatively well during the interviews, and I enjoyed all the conversations I had while networking. Would it be possible to do 1 year somewhere else and then lateral? For reference this was for a analyst position. Any insight or experiences would be well appreciated, thanks!

I run analyst and associate recruitment at an EB and can tell you that a significant number of people don’t get into the top teams first time. Keep trying but don’t be annoying and don’t be fixated on 1 specific team.
What usually changes from the first time to the second time when they get an offer? Are they usually just more sharp (technicals, deal knowledge)?
