Unless there's a thousand people you're sending this email to (in which case, congrats) send individual emails.
use BCC.... you've already spent too much time on this
Put them all in the 'To' line and call them all out individually in the first line. This works best if it's a bunch of people
Set-up a distribution list. Title it something like "People_who_have_had_a_profound_impact_on_me_at_FIRMXYZ" and use that as the "To" line. They will feel appreciative to have been part of that select group.
Also, do young people these days not know how to send emails, etc.?
