Be safe everyone and tell your friends and family that you love them more often
I was visiting Mtl and I took the night bus back yesterday.
It was a double decker and I never sat in the first row of the upper deck but yesterday I tried b/c of the good view.
at 1:30 am, when I was finishing up an email and about lay my head down towards the window seat to sleep. Then I saw the bus is going STRAIGHT towards a giant trailer truck and the driver immediately turned left sharply and broke the peddle heavily.
The bus still hit the back of the truck hard and the upper side window is completely smashed into the bus and was all over me. The seat beside me was squeezed and twisted.
I jumped and ran immediately towards the back of the bus and yelled at driver if he was Ok.Luckily nobody was hurt badly except a few joint spray and open cuts.
As the only witness except the driver (most ppl sat back and was asleep) I was frankly terrified but also glad I was still alive without missing part of my body. Considering i would’ve been in heaven if I sat one more seat towards the right or laid down there.
EVERYONE PLEASE SIT IN THE MIDDLE (AND LOWER DECK IF IT IS A DOULE DECKER) OF THE BUS WHEN YOU TRAVEL.
ALSO TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT YOU LOVE THEM MORE OFTEN, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE TOO BUSY WORKING INSTEAD OF SPEDING TIME WITH THEM.
cheers
Excellent post! Advice appreciated.
Jesus Christ, I travel on Megabus all the time. Thank God your ok. Truer words were never spoken, you don't know what you have till its gone.
To think that up until this very minute I was worried about petty career bullshit and my own trivial nonsense.
Thanks you -- this is a good wakeup call.
I can't agree more ivoteforthatguy. Because I was too focused on the career bullshit and only eyed jobs in I banking, I am still unemployed despite I went to a target school with both Engineering and Honours Econ Finance degree.
You have pointed out exactly what I thought immediately after the accident. From now on I will get a job even if it’s not as prestigious as banking sounds, working hard, delighting ppl around me and helping those who need help every moment since you never know when you cannot see the sun rises or hear birds singing again.
Then consider my post today dedicated to you.
bigest question we are all dieing to know...will you sue and for how much? also did the lawyers on scene make sure they got every ones #s?
haha
in more serious note good to hear you are ok m8
