Bear Stearns First-Round Interviews

Does anyone have advice for me as I head into a first-round IBD interview. I am looking to transition from PWM to IB; graduated in 2006 from a top-5 undergraduate business school. My explanations for my focus-change is well articulated. I am applying for the 2008 Analyst Class.

Has anyone been through a Bear Stearns first-round? Anything I should expect? Thanks so much.

One thing you need to know is "why Bear?", which they will ask for sure.

- Capt K - "Prestige is like a powerful magnet that warps even your beliefs about what you enjoy. If you want to make ambitious people waste their time on errands, bait the hook with prestige." - Paul Graham

Coming from a finance related background, be ready for technical questions. Be sure you know how transactions flow from statement to statement, especially debt. Also look at enterprise value/ebitda, I had a few questions on that.

Know why you want to be at Bear; having gone through the whole process the past few weeks (and got an offer), I can tell you they are really proud of the people that work there.
