I am not looking to be a bank or ever work in PE. I want to work on an energy desk. They only have 150 people in houston and growing. While I may ever make it to the desk I will have a decent salary, bonus and leave everyday by 6. I like playing golf and chsing women so why not? I have 3 other sources of income so the money is not really an issue. However like many people here you dont want the guys next door to be making 30% more then you for doing the same work. My folks always said dont focus on what you want in life but focus on what you dont want. I dont want to spend my nights in an office. I tip my hand to all bankers and do feel that banking is hand down the best first job out of college. Just not for me. I spend my junior summer doing banking in college at a BB firm. Never again. Thanks for the feedback.

Wow you must be the first person in the history of banking to go from Banking to Ops
