Beginner finance questions.. Please enlighten me

Greetings Monkeys,

I just recently graduated high school and beginning my undergrad in the fall at a target (in Canada). This forum is crazy useful and I have been addicted to it since yesterday when I discovered it.. writing this at 8 A.M and I haven't slept yet... Anyway back on track I have a few questions after researching on this forum. I think anyone with beginner level finance comprehension can answer these but I'm just not there yet so bare with me..

1. Can a consultant (MBB) go from Consulting >>P.E >> H.F>> Then MBA if needed?
- I know this to be true for I.B

2. P.E and V.C are very alike but why are the salaries very different? P.E pays more.
- Can work for a V.C firm directly after undergrad?

P.E compensation: .wallstreetoasis_com/salary/private-equity-compensation
V.C compensation: www.wallstreetoasis_com/salary/venture-capital-compensation

3. How to break into E.R? and what are the salaries?
