I have heard some people say banks roll out the red carpet for the top analysts in the group but most people complain about how the only benefit is an incremental after-tax bonus for a lot more work. Does anyone know if banks reward their top analysts in any other way?

I’ve heard you can end up getting more stagings and work more than other analysts
Not really anything else. They’re not gonna throw a pizza party for you. But you’ll be known as an obedient little bitch that loves to take on more staffings. Sometimes they don’t even get the top bonus
Like most people have said, besides your bonus not really.
At the same time, if you progress quickly and prove that you can handle responsibility, you could find yourself playing more of an associate-lite role by your second year (depending on how your group operates) and delegating some of the more mundane work to first years if you’re staffed on a deal with them. While this doesn’t necessarily help your hours, it does make the deal process more interesting in my opinion.
Where did you hear that banks roll out the red carpet? You may be thinking of analysts in ER (where analyst title is more senior than associate) because no one is “rolling out the red carpet” for an analyst 1-2 yrs out of school, that’s what the bonus is for.
