Best Course of Action for IB?

I'm currently a non-target sophomore and recentley accepted a F500 corporate finance internship this summer at a well known financial services company. My ultimate goal is to obtain a BB IBD internship for my junior summer, and the more I'm reading into it the more I'm feeling fucked because I didn't go with a boutique/MM IB internship this summer. My question is what is the best way for me to salvage this situation? I'm starting to network in anticipation for recruiting next fall, but for the time being should I start cold calling/ emailing to get an off cycle IB internship at a boutique for the winter/ spring or is it too late?

You are definitely fine with a f500 financials internship your sophomore summer. This is arguably better than having some tiny no name IB.

Assuming your GPA is okay, networking is >>>> having IB experience. Be proud of your internship and network your ass off through the spring. Recruiting starts in Feb/March, NOT next fall so be ready.
