Intrepid has a decent presence in NYC. Not sure if you are set on O&G specifically, but power & utilities is an adjacent role and covered entirely out of NY.

Generally the other NY energy practices are very small, usually an MD or two who wanted to be in NYC but are doing a lot of travel and maybe they have a few juniors to support them. Houston is where the action is, you aren't going to get as meaningful reps if you're not in the main office.
