Best Healthcare Group in 2020?
Have an offer from BofA Healthcare in NYC. I’m interested in being a healthcare banker long term and understand that BofA it’s quite near top of the street atm.
Can someone with more experience share some light on how it’d compare to say JP/GS HC?
JP > GS > Barclays > MS > Bofa > Citi > CS > DB > UBS
Swap GS/JP, swap MS/Barclays and spot on. Could even swap CS and DB if you want me to predict what things look like 5 years form now.

This is just by judging who has been on the largest healthcare deals recently. Celgene / BMS, AbbVie / Allergan, Takeda / Shire, Mylan / Upjohn

You're wrong again. The largest healthcare transactions / equity raises in 2020 were dominated by the top 3 BBs (GS/MS/JPM).
OP: BAML is not a bad HC franchise by any means, but is not one of its strongest teams. Having said that, there is nothing to stop you from lateraling to the top 3 BBs or an EB that is known for having a very strong HC franchise (LAZ/EVR) later on in your career.
What boutiques are the best in HC space? Guessing Centerview, PJT more recently, Cowen/Jefferies. Any others?
I know that Cowen SF does well in the biotech ecm space. Definitely punches above their weight compared to the other groups in the firm.
Centerview SF for sure, would also add Evercore Menlo to the list. Not sure where these would rank amongst west coast or New York HC teams tho.
