B Bar
Turtle Bay (dollar beer Wednesdays)
Terrible bar honestly, but definitely an intern favorite
"Always looking to try out new places and meet other people interning in NYC." Translation: Looking for a quick lay.
Aren't we really all though?
Updating to add:
Heavy Hitters -Turtle Bay -B Bar/Phebes (across the street from each other) -Biergarten at the Standard -Brass Monkey
Also check out -The 13th Step -Brother Jimmy's -Johnny Utah's
Just to add here for the U21 crowd. You will not get into Turtle Bay with a fake
Can confirm for Turtle Bay. Happened to a couple of girls in a group. Newyorkermonkey's list is solid. The biergarten/standard is my favorite. Le poisson rouge (night club) and Hair of the dog in/near SoHo are pretty good too. I would say that it's perfectly okay to find other places.
where are some good places for U21?
Phebes works
For the U21 crowd next summer, this could not be more wrong. My friends and I have been going to Turtle Bay since high school.
Intern bars are where the philistine go to mingle.
Walking by turtle bay on Wednesdays on my way home from work is the highlight of my week
