Best introduction in to alt investments?

Hey everyone - been on WSO for awhile now. Started in undergrad. Always thought the site was funny, but also surprisingly helpful. We've definitely got an opinionated bunch here, so I figured I may as well ask - How do people on here think about investing in alts? I feel like I'm over allocated to equities at the moment, and the new Accredited Investor rules are actually super helpful for me to gain more exposure.
