Best Perks & Benefits?
After interviewing for some time I've seen an increased focus on "perks and benefits" to improve work-life balance and compete with other industries.
I was curious about what were the ones that y'all found most attractive, interesting or unique.
I get to suck my MD whenever I want and he fucks me twice a week. Outstanding perk.

All perks / benefits afforded to IBK Analysts are structured in a way so as to promote a patriarchal relationship between the employee and the employer. You are "empowered" with exposure to high-profile work while simultaneously being infantilized by paid-for meals that keep you at your desk and paid-for transportation to keep you there later.
The only "perk" you should give two fucks about is your compensation. Anything beyond that is not for your benefit.
SBed and why is the other SB categorized as funny? That's funny.
My analyst (when I was an intern) once said, if your bank wanted you to have a girlfriend they would issue you one just like your corporate card
Read about this one the other day - Neuberger Berman will contribute 15% of your salary to 401k, fully vested. No contribution from employee needed.
15%??? That's a high match..
It’s not a match, it’s just as straight contribution. Great in theory except it’s also capped at a relatively low dollar figure and they don’t pay that well to begin with. A buddy of mine had a FT offer out of UG and the 15% didn’t end up amounting to very many dollars
As stated, sometimes "perks" aren't really perks.
Take unlimited time off, its great, but its basically saying since you can take off as much time as "you" want, you basically don't have working hours, so you always have to be on call.
for analysts at my firm, 2 weeks PTO vacation (truly off), dress for your day policy, on-site gym & cafeteria, PTO to volunteer, 401k match
On-site gym and cafeteria is not a perk, everyone needs to realize that it's just another way for firms to make sure they get as much out of their employees by reducing time spent on external factors.
yeah and im saving money on a gym membership and a discount on lunch. both sides can win...
there's no such thing as WLB in finance. The "perks" like free food are designed to keep you in the office longer. Only thing that matters is your hours and comp.
