Best Places to Study Abroad
Secured a EB SA offer a couple of months ago, now I'm just looking for different places to study abroad. What are some good places to have a lot of fun? Also just got out of a relationship so somewhere where the hookup culture is strong would be nice too. Where have y'all studied abroad?
If you wanna enjoy life then probably spain or Portugal
Prague is a good time
Stockholm school of economics
Didn't study abroad, but visited Italy after graduation and Florence had an exceptional college city vibe to it
Copenhagen, Denmark
I studied abroad for 6 months in the UVA Valencia, Spain program. It was a blast and I highly recommend it. I also studied abroad the next year in college through the Columbia University Chinese Studies in Bejing at Peking University for 3.5 months. Both experiences were fun, but I think Spain was more fun.

I studied abroad for a semester in London which was great. However, I would highly recommend Rome/Florence. I had many friends there and stayed there for a considerable amount of time and the vibes were just so much better there than in London. Like NYC, London has a lot of hustle and bustle to it. On the other hand, for cities like Rome/Florence (TBH, any city outside of London), the people there just live. You will be amazed to see how people will just sit outside at restaurants for hours and just eat, drink, and make memories. This is not to say it cannot happen in London, but the vibes are just so much better. There are so many Americans studying in each city from all over, so it is so easy to make friends. Rome would be my pick, being able to live in a city filled with so much history and importance is something you can't take for granted. Also, going out in Rome/Florence is a blast, many wild memories were made. In regards to hookup culture, you will be amazed at the talent and eagerness to socialize from both American and international girls there. In Rome, the area is called Trastevere, and boy is that place magical.
In regards to the other comments:
Copenhagen / Stockholm: Been to both, and stayed with some friends in Cope. They lived outside of the city center and had to bike everywhere (which is part of the culture). The cities give off a very utopian vibes which personally wasn't my favorite. I feel like if you want to live life on your semester vacation, you'd want to do it else where. To play Devil's Advocate, I had one of my best memories at a 4 level club in Cope from my time abroad, and also the sun sets very late there which is unique.
Spain: It gives off many of the same vibes as Italy, so can't really go wrong with it.
Prague: Literally my favorite city in Europe - I know NC State and NYU have programs there. The city is amazing, beautiful, and so cheap. Went back for a second weekend there since it was so amazing to me. NC State has dorms that are a 15 second walk to the main square of the city, which to me would be such a surreal experience. They have crazy clubs there and the girls are amazing and very very direct, but young. I remember seeing a comment on here once that was along the line of... "I told the girl I was 22, she said she was 15. I was obviously very taken back. She then said, 'don't worry, we aren't in America, this is legal here'." I would say that this experience is something me and my friends have all encountered.
My nephew is studying in Florence right now. I have visited the city and overall just love Italy in general.
I visited my friend who studied abroad in Copenhagen and the club you’re talking about is called Chateau Motel. Definitely a very fun club and I agree that the city feels utopian. Also if you’re looking for lengers then Copenhagen is ideal, Stockholm is good too but it’s far away if you want to travel and meet up with your friends who might be in Italy or Asia.
Utrecht, thank me later
Melbourne, Australia - you won’t regret it just don’t go to Sydney
3 Things I like about Melbourne:
1. Crown Casino (poker)
2. Bell's Beach (surfing)
3. My mom is from Melbourne
How’s Paris?
