Best way to stay in touch with FT contacts during SA

I’m currently a summer analyst at a MM investment bank and spoke with a few people at BBs/EBs back in May. Ideally, I’d like to make the switch after the summer ends, assuming I get a return offer.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to keep these contacts updated throughout the summer without being annoying. My thought was to send a quick mid-summer check-in around week 5 saying things are going well and that I’m on track for a return based on feedback so far. Then, around week 9, I’d send another brief update saying I’m expecting return decisions by the end of the week, followed by one more note once I officially receive the return offer.

Obviously, this is all contingent on actually getting the return, but based on feedback so far, I seem to be on track.
