Better internship opportunity
Hello, I am a rising sophomore at a non target and have been searching for internships for after my sophomore year (Summer 2019) and since most IBD SA positions are geared toward Juniors, two options I am considering are F500 Treasury and TAS at a large middle market audit firm. Which of these would look better when applying for SA positions at banks for after my junior year and for FT after graduation? Also should I reach out to regional boutiques for possible oportunities before junior year?
I don't have a whole wealth of experience, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I looked for a bank I wanted to work at Junior year, and work in their back office. You get to network with all the investment bankers if you want (send them internal meetings and get coffee), and you get "relevant banking experience". Feel free to disagree with me.
