Big 4 TS to Corporate Banking

All - I am somewhat new to this site, but am soliciting advice. I am currently working in Transaction Services at a public accounting firm and have received an offer from a large bank (I believe they are called bulge bracket) as an associate in the Capital Markets Group. I will primarily focus on leveraged ESOP Advisory. I know this is somewhat niche, but it sounds interesting and I think it could be a good way to break into the banking industry. I am curious about a few things as I am not familiar with the banking industry.

  • What are the hours like in Corporate/Commercial banking
  • What is pay like as you move up?
  • I am really rolling the dice on banking. I am not sure if I will end up liking it. How transferable are the skills to a different career (like corporate finance)?
  • Any other general advice?

Thanks!
