Blair gives FT offers to all SA
Friend working there got the email and set to me. Doing a shorter virtual training program. Offers guaranteed.

Congrats to WB interns. My EB is supposed to give an update by today, hoping for a similar outcome!
Which EB if you don’t mind me asking
PWP, sent out an email last week saying we should be getting an update this week. Given that it's almost 5 on a Friday, however, I have a feeling it might not be today.
Can anyone else confirm this
Incoming SA, can confirm. Offers not contingent on performance in the program or anything, actually guaranteed.
Congrats, I am also an incoming SA at Blair. Are we going to hear about group assignments with the full-time offer?
I've got no clue honestly
Boom, another one on the list
any info on pay being reduced?
Pay $7,500, contingent on nothing. Optional online training.
They’re also discontinuing their summer associate internship program, a friend told me.
discontinuing as in cancelling? ft offers as well or no?
What does discontinue mean? in the future or this summer?
Don’t have much context but my friend from home who works there said they just all got an email saying they’re discontinuing the program in the fall and plan to mostly fill their associate ranks by promoting analysts and hiring laterals
Amazing news, congrats to all the WB interns! Good to see another firm really taking care of its junior talent
Does anyone know what their return offer rate usually is? That would help understand what this might mean as other firms decide what to do
Very high ~90% or so. They don't over-hire
Do they have any NY interns? Or is this all in Chicago?
Edit: wrong information
Wonder if interns in the other cities got the FT offer.
what are you talking about? when I was networking I met with someone from WB in the nyc office who did IB. they said they didn’t have internships there and they only took laterals
https://www.williamblair.com/News-Items/2019/April/29/New-York-Team-Mov…
“Colleagues in the New York office serve private wealth, investment banking and institutional clients.”
They have an NY office with 30 or so IB employees, all senior however and no interns or even 1st years. Two groups are based there
Congrats to the interns and RIP everyone like me who was considering FT recruiting for them lmao
do you have an internship lined up this summer?
Yeah but in the wrong city, wanted to be near home (Chicago) for FT but alas
Congrats to all WB interns! Anyone hear anything similar/rumors from other MMs?
Anything on Baird?
Anyone know if it applies to other departments? Email was to all IB analysts, not sure what's happening with S&T or PWM.
Congrats to all WB interns. Culture is fantastic
sure if u like working at a lower-middle market bank pitching on $100 million deals with virtually no exit ops
LOL well this thread's about to get heated
Damn. Salty and factually incorrect. Best go review their transaction listing online. Let me know if you need your hand held in finding it.
Did you get dinged the first round?
How is PE recruiting from WB? I know people say it places well into MM PE and it's possible to get UMM, but how will the recruiting process be different than if you were at a EB/BB? Do headhunters still reach out? Is on-cycle recruitment still crazy early?
.
So what does this mean for an analyst? Can you stay for a 3rd year at Blair so you can do on-cycle recruiting? I understand the MM firms that Blair people often exit to probably recruit later, but what if you want to take a stab at MF/UMM PE?
.
