BMO Externship - Tips?
I've never been hardcore about banking, but the concept of working on deals and modeling deeply interested me, so I applied to a one day externship program for BMO's Capital Markets on a whim following a campus presentation. To my surprise, I received a call yesterday telling me that I had been accepted.
One issue; beyond the basics behind what IB is, I know next to nothing about it. Technicals, what to say, level of formality relative to there fields, etc. It's in less than 2 weeks.
The agenda specifically states there will be "Career & Interview Prep with Talent", "Senior Leadership Lunch", and "Networking with Investment Banking Analyst" because this program is "a chance to network in a small group setting with bankers to learn more about opportunities for the summer analyst internship."
Any tips on how to not look like an idiot on the chance that I end up realizing I want to go into banking from this?
