BNP Paribas Exit Opps
What are the exit opps for BNP? Is it possible/common to lateral to BBs or go to MFs or MM PE? Thanks!

Not to MFs or UMMs, but they are to BBs
Depends what group you’re in, as with all banks. The French banks are bigger into the more exotics space. That goes for trading, and banking as well for the most part. BNP is big in Structured Finance, and you’d probably be able to place just as well as a MS/GS structured finance banker. Lev Fin is also there.
If I have a SA at BNP for DCM/LevFin would I be able to lateral to a BB for FT?
To a BB sure. But it’s no cakewalk. You got to hold your own and perform there before lateraling. Their LevFin is a great practice, not sure about DCM
Would that include their project finance team? They seem big on that. Would be interesting to see if people from that team exited to infra PE/MFs doing the same thing
You'd do well to place in a Project Finance group at Credit Agricole or BNP.
Are most exits to LMM PE then?
