BNY Mellon Depository Receipts Internship
Im currently a sophomore and this summer I got a BNY Mellon Depository Receipts internship.
My plan is to secure a BB Investment banking internship for my Junior year summer. Would this internship benefit?
Some of my other options include:
Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company: Intern Level 2–Investment Services Group
S&P Ratings Services (McGraw Hill Financial): Analytics/Research Intern
Northwestern Mutual: Financial Representative
Boutique Firm: Unpaid internship at a small boutique firm (Private-equity, and mergers and acquisitions)
UTC Aerospace Systems: Co-op Operations Research/Supply Chain Management
Cheers
I don't know how much you care being paid, but the unpaid one looks good to me, and the smaller size could lead to a better exposure. Also, the one at Ayco seems relevant as well. I think there is no need to overthink: I don't see anyone closing the IBD doors, in the end, it is all about how you sell your experience.
Thank you Goldenboy. I don't really care to much about pay right now so I will definitely consider you advice.
Now, does any of these firms actually carry any weight in the Street? By this I mean if the name of one of this firms could potentially be a booster on my application next year.
Regarding the name, Mellon and Ayco should fit. But again, your future application is more likely to get boosted by the real exposure you had , rather than by the names you mentionned on your resume. Just my 2 cents
Thanks again
Why did you start like 4 threads of basically the same shit?
I am a new user here and this were actually my first posts. I tried posting them with different names to get an understanding of what drives users to reply to a post, and therefore, get more replies in the future. Although there are no rules against this, I will try not to do it again.
Now, do you have any advice on my situation?
Thanks!
