Bond Related Interview Questions
The WSO IB interview guide contains some bond content, but it seems based on some non-scientific research that bond related questions are not likely to be a major part of an IB interview.
True? In any case - some of the more common questions would be much appreciated.
I can't speak for the WSO guide but a lot of them generally don't cover bonds as much because they're exclusively done in sales and trading, which is not a very technical-heavy interview process anyway.
I've had some friends interview at EB's that were asked bond/debt questions, so its certainly a possibility
i've seen them in quantitative interviews...hard to imagine them asked in a junior level banking interview, unless you listed an interest in interest rates/ fixed income on you resume/application
I had debt questions in a banking interview (but not bond focused), but it was part of a larger LBO-walkthrough type question so it made sense. I don't know why a bank would ever ask bond pricing or questions like that because it's likely never something you would do as a banking analyst, so I wouldn't stress bond stuff too much when you're studying.
