Breaking into IB from another field
Hi all,
I'm curious to hear if anyone has any experience or knowledge of getting into iBanking a few years removed from college. I'm somewhat familiar with the traditional route of networking for the internship and then earning an offer but I don't know if I've personally ever heard of anyone getting into IB from a different part of finance/banking etc.
To give you some background, I finished undergrad in 2018 and work in commercial banking lending to REITs. I graduated from a non-target with a 3.6 GPA and am taking CFA level 2 in June. I guess I'd like to hear people's thoughts on how a background such as mine might land in investment banking. Thanks in advance for the thoughts.
Hey BigREITguy1095, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:
Hope that helps.
