Broad Financial Sales/BD Thread Attempt 2023

In the interest of other posters, myself, and anyone else who may be interested. I’d like to invite everyone across the board in financial sales roles to post about their job description, culture, expected comp and hours worked and perhaps unknown things a lot of us wouldn’t think or be aware to ask about.

We get a lot of IB, RE, and trading threads but I think there’s a SUBSTANTIAL amount of sales professionals with roles that can be incredibly different across the board. This includes fundraising, flow sales, asset management sales, wholesales, financial advisors, etc…there’s so many!

Let me know what you guys think, happy to talk about my role too. I’ve seen a decent amount of posts across threads to warrant this. The goal with this is to help prospects find something they would actually want to do and provide more coverage as a whole so we can be prepared at all points in our careers just like our banking and hedge fund friends on here…especially with tech sales finally coming down to earth we shall probably see an influx.
