I would read their most recent 10-q to understand what they're best at. Seems like Fixed Income S&T is their strong point on the capital markets front.
any info. on their restructuring group?
i know their restructuring group poached a bunch of Imperial Capital guys.
restructuring guys are legit....have a very very close relationship with mattlin Patterson (distressed HF) bc mattlin bought a stake in them. They've been advisingg mattlin on a few deals (some of them are extremely large). There should be an opening there because the guy who had an offer from their previous superday is declining, so people at this superday do actually have a shot at the offer.
People there (to me at least), seemed a bit.......off kilter tho in a personal sense.
SUPER technical interview (both phone and in-office). If you have banking experience, be able to talk in ridiculous detail your deal experience, and then some. Their restructuring guys are legit (most brought on from Imperial Capital) but definitely are a little on the weird side.
