Can I get a job as an analyst in the US?

Good evening to everyone who is seeing this post, I have an important question. I will love to applied for a job as an analyst in top companies in the US, but my problem is that i live in Africa, Nigeria to be specific.

If I should take a course in relating to becoming analyst in investment banking, what are my hope in getting a job in the US as an analyst when I based in somewhere like Nigeria?

My name is Chris John, I am 23 year old, I wanted to continue my father because he is late now ( he died February 3 2025). That was my decision when I finished my university on August 20 2025. But I thought of something more better, what if I purse something I love doing..

I really like investment and trading companies, I love understanding how the economic and how the world works. I don't really know if you guys can help me with an advise, I will really appreciate it.

Your chances of landing an IB role at a top bank would be very high. You’d likely have GS, JPM, and MS in a bidding war to try and get your talents at their firm.

Get to the US for any job and save as much as you can for a few years. Study and apply to a top MBA program and then it may be possible. I had a friend who went down this route and it took 15 years to get to Investment Banking in the US.
