Can I move from S&T to IB? (incoming Analyst)
I'm a senior at a target who'll be joining a BB S&T in July. I decided to sign my return offer because of the current state of the economy, but I wasn't really passionate about the desk where I got hired although it is respected team in S&T.
I picked up some IB skills during my S&T internship on one of my desks which I loved, but unfortunately that desk was not picking up interns.
What can I start doing now to move to IB? I'm a pretty strong candidate on paper and I think I would've been moderately successful in IB SA recruitment if I'd tried, but would love some guidance!
Exact same situation. Target at good name S&T SA this year. I chose a different path and recruited despite this job environment. BB opportunities were non-existent, but landed myself a industry-specific boutique that I'm very happy at.
