Can I normalize my GPA?

I don’t believe my reported GPA is an accurate reflection of my long-term potential. There were several “one-off” events within the past few years that have impacted my grades which I do not believe to be recurring (Covid, missed my bus for an exam, bad prof, etc). Can I “add back” the negative impacts of these events?

Additionally, if anyone is aware of any firms that provide QoG (Quality of Grades) services that would be very helpful.

Excuses won’t get you anywhere, especially dumb ones like Covid and missing a fucking bus. Get your shit together, you just sound stupid.

It’s not like I’m here sweating for the dude. Meme reply

Shit happens in life. You should just accept it. There are plenty of students who maintained 4.0’s throughout covid. Missing is a bus is your fault, and blaming a professor for your grade is never a good look

Also, what is QoG services ?

Great question OP.

I think adjusted GPA can be a valuable tool to show normalized (l)earning potential. It’s important to include a walk from GPA to Adjusted GPA. For example, on my resume, I show how not drinking 40 beers a week would bring my gpa from a 1.9 to a 4.5; but also that not banging my math professor would bring my gpa from a 4.5 down to a 3.6.

For QoG services, please contact Rick Singer. He operates a reputable college admissions consulting firm that has relationships with the post grad side of the industry. You should be able to find news articles on him.

I've heard that KPMG has the best QoG service - they got my 2.4 GPA to a 3.6 Adjusted-GPA through a few creative add-backs. My failed courses-adjusted GPA is as high as a 3.8 GPA thanks to KPMG!

Unfortunately, all the MF PE programs I've applied to don't buy the add-backs, so I've mostly struck out there.

Best of luck dude!
