Career Resources
You can, but don't mention it's to go to a different superday. Family issues or you broke your foot in a rec league soccer game and have surgery scheduled.
no, i thought that i wanted to consider the MM, but I think i want to just go with the BB offer instead. not about going to another super day
Oh, thought at one time you were deciding between 2 superdays. Sure you can decline, but what do you have to lose by going?
Dont go. Say that you appreciate the offer to interview and enjoyed meeting whoever interviewed you in the first round but you decide to take your career search in a different direction.
There's a low risk anything bad happens if you do go but you might also being opening up a spot for someone on the waitlist so they can interview.
IMO - cancelling is the professional thing to do.
Agree that cancelling is the professional thing to do.
Superday Invitation Reneged? (Originally Posted: 11/13/2017)
I was invited to a BB firm's securities superday the other week that will take place the week after Thanksgiving break. I've already made flight and hotel reservations and what not through the firm. My application status as of a week ago was invited to interview but I just received an email today that my application status had been updated. I check the new status and it says that they will not be continuing with my application.
Despite this, I'm gonna stick to the plan and keep preparing for the superday but this is kinda messing with my head. Has this ever happened to anyone? What're your thoughts on this
Possibly you applied to more than one office?
Unfortunately, no. It was the same position that was invited for that I got denied from. So weird
