Can people in 5th year MBA programs recruit for associate?
I saw someone on LinkedIn who did a 5th year MBA at their undergrad school, and they started as an IB associate right after graduation. They did summer associate after year 4 of UG.
So this doesn't apply to me at all, but do people who do these types of programs normally go straight to associate if they're able to recruit?

No. At most, they will start you as a second year analyst.

Agreed. No way would they get a standard post-MBA associate spot. Only knew a couple people at my old bank who did an MBA right after UG, but all joined as analysts.
At my EB we would never hire someone like that as an associate. Would come on as a first year analyst, same as an undergrad or MSF.
