Can you ask the analyst to speed up your background check?
Right now I'm doing an internship but I'm planning on leaving 2 months earlier to get a better internship. This decision is made as my current internship is in corporate development and the new one in IB with a potential opening as analyst afterwards. I want to tell my current company that I will leave soon but I refuse to do it without a contract from the new internship first. Right now they're doing a background check, would it be acceptable to tell the analyst hiring me this situation? Since I sent my information for the check they haven't replied, not even a reply of received yet. I sent that information a week ago. Any advice? Thanks!
