Canadian Big 5 and Non target school
Do they ever hire people from non target school with 4.00 cgpa? Or the Canadian IB sector is entirely focused on target schools only? Asking because I hardly saw people from non target on LinkedIn who works for RBC or BMO capital markets.
bmo is feasible but not rbc
I've seen non-targets get into like Goldman lol, it's always possible
I've seen some getting into US BBs but weirdly dint see any working in the Canadian Big 5 capital markets
Bruh TD has taken people from schools in Manitoba for FO roles, RBC has taken people from like Ryerson and east-coast non-targets, Simon Fraser has done decently, I've seen UOttawa people get in, Concordia/UMontreal too, it definitely happens
UofO has a few recent grads at BMO and CPP
All of the Big 6 will take people from all schools - go to a semi-target in Cad here and we send quite a few people every year to the big 6 - less to RBC and BMO but usually a few
I'm at one for SA2021 and didn't have a 4.0 so you beat me already
Thank you everyone!
