Canadian Undergraduate Transfer to US or Ivey HBA?

Currently set to attend the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business this September. Sauder is a top business school in Canada, but Vancouver has a less than stellar investment banking scene, except for the PMF program. The way I see it I have three options.

1) Finish 4 years at UBC, hopefully get MBB or IB then apply for an MBA in the States. 2) Finish 2 yeards at UBC, if I get rejected from PMF program then transfer to Ivey HBA. 3) Finish a year or two at UBC, then apply for a transfer at a US Business School. Anyone know a good US business school that takes international transfers?

I'd love to hear some advice and input on what I should do. I hope to land an IB position in NYC or SF and I'd love to hear what people think I should do to have the best chance of achieving this dream.

Canadian here. If you want to work in the US asap, your best chance would be to transfer to a top target in the US. Although Ivey does send kids to the US and is the best for that in Canada, the amount is very few - you have better chances at targets in the US. UBC is a good business undergrad school, but really as you said, PMF is the program that shines much more than UBC Sauder.

My $0.02, bust your ass and transfer to a target in the US. That doesn't work out. try and get into PMF and hedge again by applying to Ivey and transferring if you don't get in.
