Cancer and IB

Someone in my family has cancer. They have a few years left to live. I want to stay in banking post graduation (I just got a return offer). One of my main fears is that they won’t give me time off to see my parent when the time comes. As a entry level analyst, can I ask for like a week off if it’s a family emergency? Or atleast WFH?

I will quit on the spot if they don’t give it to me, but I really don’t want to do that.

Advice?

Of course you can. Your managers are real people and the work you are doing can easily be done by someone else.

Good luck and best wishes, as another user said above, medicine advances at gigantic steps each 3-4 years achieving things previously deemed as impossible.
