I recently got an offer to be a Capital Management Analyst at UBS. It is an interesting job and it's fairly technical, which I like. However, my ultimate goal is to lateral into something else, specifically equity research or IB.
I'm not betting on IB as I know it is extremely competitive, but would it be possible to lateral into ER after a year of being a Capital Management Analyst?
If not, what do the exit opps look like? Couldn't find anything on WSO.
