Career in Reorganization / Liquidation
I just received an offer for big4 Reorganization team. I suppose this is a very specialized job and is a lot harder to get into commercials than audit folks. But I am wondering if this experience in liquidation is a good leverage to banks or PE shops when the market goes back up.

not going to claim to really know what im talking about here, but from what ive seen online, a lot of the big restructuring bankers had big4 restructuring backgrounds. i imagine you should have a good pitch for distressed debt funds as well.

You will likely be pigeonholed in restructuring/distressed investing, so think about if this is the field you would like to focus on before entering. It will certainly be a hot sector for a while, but in the long term that might translate to a situation where supply has ramped up and demand is down (similar to computer science majors now). Just my .02
it's just counter-cyclical, so it will become hot again (the hard part is keeping your job between cycles)
