Career in Reorganization / Liquidation

I just received an offer for big4 Reorganization team. I suppose this is a very specialized job and is a lot harder to get into commercials than audit folks. But I am wondering if this experience in liquidation is a good leverage to banks or PE shops when the market goes back up.

Any advice? Thanks!

..restructuring banking, restructuring/turnaround consulting, distressed debt investing.

We're about to enter a Great Depression. Don't you want a president who's already dressed for it?

Hey I'm interviewing for a Big4 Re-Org Group. Would certainly appreciate any advice or pointers. We can discuss on PM if you would be kind enough to help.

Thanks a lot!

You will likely be pigeonholed in restructuring/distressed investing, so think about if this is the field you would like to focus on before entering. It will certainly be a hot sector for a while, but in the long term that might translate to a situation where supply has ramped up and demand is down (similar to computer science majors now). Just my .02

it's just counter-cyclical, so it will become hot again (the hard part is keeping your job between cycles)
