Caught COVID, very sick - intern return offer

I caught covid, got very ill (vomited and fainted) but my VP asked me to compile some spreadsheets for him and run some strats. I haven't been able to finish the task, half because I was figuring out the most efficient way to do it (and cells not saving!), and half because I got so damn ill that I couldn't focus.

I informed my VP of this and said I don't think I'll be able to meet his Monday timeline. I'll still try and be available online Monday, but I'm really feeling unwell so.

Will this affect my chances of a return offer? Serious answers only, please.

I would do the work to get a return offer but lateral for full-time.

You're sick with covid. A VP staffing you then chasing a tight timeline over a weekend is beyond ridiculous.

I'm extrapolating, but have you seen toxicity in the group this summer? Regardless I doubt it's a one-off, and this is likely indicative of what the full-time culture is like.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. I tested positive for covid over the weekend, my VP gave me the work on Friday (I was feeling a bit shitty, just thought I had a cold). So whilst it would've likely been some weekend work anyway, he didn't staff me on it knowing I had Covid.

I communicated that I felt quite ill to my VP and he said no worries and that he'd have a look at it, I just hope this one piece of tbh not excellent work (unfinished and didn't have time to check it over) is not going to screw me over.

All the Analysts and Associates are really nice, pretty much telling me to WFH but actually just rest up until I'm well enough to take on higher bandwidth again.
