I am a first year analyst at a boutique in nyc. We work exclusively in M&A with small companies. 50-150mm deals. My question is, why don’t I need to take any sort of certification exams? I always here about the series 63, 79 ect… I haven’t heard anything about these at my current firm. Would this be an issue when I try to lateral down the road? And do BB m&a groups take certification exams?
