CFA Level 1 vs Python

Hey everyone, I'm a senior graduating this May and already have a FT offer locked up in S&T. While going out and enjoying my last free days is a priority, I still want to be as prepared as possible when I start working FT. In terms of career progression (buy-side, particularly Hedge Funds), would taking the CFA Level 1 in June be more beneficial than spending that time learning a programming language like R or Python? My coursework has involved some heavy finance so I'm not too worried about the difficulty of Level 1 as opposed to the time spent actually memorizing everything.
