Thousands of Ivy Leaguers circulate their resumes each year to New York's investment banks, but few garner as much attention as Aleksey Vayner, who last week submitted an 11-page resume and video to UBS's human resources department. By the week's end, the Yale University senior's video had raised scores of eyebrows and sparked much laughter in nearly every firm on Wall Street. Mr. Vayner identifies himself on his resume as a multi-sport professional athlete, the CEO of two companies, and an investment adviser. The video depicts him lifting a 495-pound weight, serving a tennis ball at 140 miles an hour, and ballroom dancing with a scantily clad female. Finally, Mr. Vayner emerges enrobed in a white karate suit and breaks six bricks in one fell swoop.

and some quotes

"A member of the Yale tennis team wrote in to dispute Aleksey's claim that he competed on the Satellite tour: "I played for Yale tennis, and he tried to walk on the team. He got cut the second day. I had one conversation with him, and he claimed to have KILLED 24 people in the caves of Tibet."

(Other great comments: "I too played for Yale tennis, and Vayner/Garber claimed that he has trouble flying on planes because he has to register his hands as lethal weapons each time he goes to an airport." And: "The giveaway on the investment firm was that he said his firm specialized in "risk-aDverse" strategies. The other giveaway was that he's fucking crazy.")

"

just read about the whole episode,

however, i was wondering how his resume got leaked?

if it was from the UBS side, isn't that a violation of privacy?

WTGDMFF?

This is his strategy to get a job?

Ill give him this: he is supremely confident, he has a flair for the theatrical, and he is not afraid to speak his mind.

Id be afraid to see him without a leash though.

I wonder how this story will end
