Chicago Restructuring Scene?

Rising sophomore at UChicago hoping to go into RX. Been looking at the places we have alums and/or are sending kids. We do have a bit of presence or people going to EVR/PJT in NYC. But at the other top firms (HL and LAZ), we generally send kids to the Chicago office. Was wondering if anyone here could give me a bit of info about the chicago rx scene. What the groups are like, what the perception is, and what the exits are (compared to NYC).

yo what did you end up doing? current freshman at uchi thinking similar questions.

Honestly, assuming good grades and internships, I think you should shoot for PJT/EVR/HL NY. You're a target and I don't see why you shouldn't give it a shot

That's fair. I'd advice to apply to PJT/HL/EVR NY and LAZ CHI since the internship in CHI is RX specific while generalist in NY. if you're not feeling confident apply to CHI for HL but besides I think the plan is clear for where to apply
