Chose ibanking, but prefer trading...

I interned this past summer at a BB in their IBD and I accepted their FT offer.

The more I think about it, however, I realize that I want to do trading rather than ibanking and PE. I realize I can't do anything about that for the next 2 years (and I won't, I will honor my 2 yr commitment), but how difficult is it to transition to trading within my BB or go into a HF? I don't have a math Phd or the likes (economics major), so I know that trading firms won't be fighting over me, so what should I do now to improve my chances to get into a HF/proprietary trading a few years down the road?

Thanks.
