CIB vs IB
hey guys so I’m applying to Citi’s CorporateBanking Summer Analyst program and it apparently falls in the corporate and investment banking division and I wanted to know if it is different from the investment banking division and if so how is it different? I mean I do understand the difference between Corporate and Investment Banking but I just wanted to know what it is exactly at Citi.
You shouldn't be applying to jobs if you don't know what the role is lol
No so I do know what the role is. but the eventual target is IB. I wanted to know if CIB is still something I should do with that end goal in mind or should I try and do a pure IB SA. Also does anyone know what the process is after the HireVue and how long it takes to hear back?

For Citi, CIB is the big division (BCMA), under which you have separate functions IB and CB. It's different business. They are sitting in the same office though.
